JOHN WATTS

John has 28 years experience working in a number of glass genres. He has glass designs or glasswork in a majority of the states and in 6 foreign countries. 

He, with Adrian and Pat, partnered into Glass Heritage. With a strong background in management, he has a proven success record in the arts and business. He has studied glass, stained, etched and blown, with a number of renowned artists and has attended seminars as part of the Art Glass Suppliers Association, The Glass Art Society and as a fully accredited studio member of the Stained Glass Association of America. John, as part of Glass Heritage, is also a licensed contractor in the City of Davenport, for the installation and restoration of stained glass.

John has instructed students in a number of glass art genres, both in the studio and as a conference instructor. While constantly pushing the envelope for new combined uses for glass, he enjoys creating projects using mixed glass mediums in contemporary styles.

Projects that he has worked on include, but are not limited to, churches, offices, hotels, homes, and creating large-scale works for architectural uses. Major installations include the Red Cross Building, in Moline, Illinois, Genesis Hospital, Davenport, Iowa, the Parkway Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Casper, Wyoming, the Augustana College Presidents residence, the Metro Link Transit Center in Moline Illinois and has shown in Glass shows in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Denver, Colorado. His gallery credits include Indigo Gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, among others. He and his works have appeared in numerous print articles and appearances on both network and public television. He is currently a member of  the Stained Glass Association of America, where he is a member of the marketing committee and chair of the conference committee, The American Glass Guild, The Art Glass Association,  and the Quad Cities Homebuilders Association.
