Mark was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and has a degree in Art and Architectural History from the University of Iowa. He moved to the Quad Cities in 2016 with his wife Jane and three children; Paul, Carolyn, and Luke.
He has an extensive background in historic preservation and education, art history and community engagement. Mark also has long term experience as a historian tour guide, museum educator, and working in public programs promoting local history.
For twenty years he was staff Historian at the Linn County Historical Society (The History Center) in Cedar Rapids and with a lifelong enthusiasm for historic and special places, he is now looking forward to connecting with past, present, and future customers of Glass Heritage!
Ryan McFate was born and raised in LeClaire, Iowa and has a wide variety of interests that range from information technology to drawing, painting and creative works. He moved to Davenport, Iowa in late 2015 with his wife, Kelsey.
